The Power of People Skills

In 2017, Career Press NJ released Trevor Throness’ book: The Power of People Skills.

The Power of People Skills teaches readers how to permanently solve their chronic people problems.

“If you’re taking an issue home with you; if you’re talking over a business problem with your spouse; if you’re lying awake at night mulling things over in your mind; if you’re stuck while facing an impossible hurdle; if you’re feeling burned out or you’re thinking of selling the business and doing something easier, the vast majority of the time you’re wrestling with a people problem” (p. 18)

In the Power of People Skills, Trevor Throness teaches how to assess each of your team members, and how to develop a go-forward plan for each one.

If you follow his advice,  you’ll build a strong culture filled with A-players, and you will put an end to your chronic, nagging people problems.

What clients are saying

Here is a small sample of feedback from Trevor Throness’ clients:

“We decided to implement Trevor’s strategies across the country in over 110 locations and over 4000 employees.  The result has been a transformation of our culture.  People’s lives have been positively impacted – professionally and personally.  Morale is high and sales and profits are up as a result.”

Daryl Verbeek, President VCA Canada

“The roadmap laid out in “The Power of People Skills set our business up to quintuple in sales.  We’ve learned how to fix ongoing personnel issues once and for all, attract top talent and spend our time focused on results, not on internal staffing problems.  I highly recommend it to you – it’s worked for us.”

John de Jonge, Owner Artex Building Solutions

“We decided to use Trevor’s methodology in our full-service law firm.  At first, we resisted, telling him, “This just won’t work with a law firm.” But we persisted and the results have been remarkable: our client base and profits have steadily improved, and staff engagement and morale is the healthiest its ever been.”

Doug Lester Q.C., Managing Partner, RDM Law

“Trevor’s tools helped us move from the middle of the pack to being selected by the Financial Post as one of the top 25 charities in the country (out of 86,000).  I highly recommend his new book to you.”

Bernie Willock, CEO Food For the Hungry Canada

“Working with Trevor has been an absolute joy.  I had no idea that running a business could be as fun and as exciting as it is until I met him.  In less than 18 months or working with him, he has transformed my business from being average to exceptional, where mediocrity is not acceptable, where being great is standard.  Working with Trevor has allowed me to realize my dream of not simply owning a job, but owning a business”
