Any time someone comes to you with a problem, require that they also bring their recommended solution

When they come to you, don’t give them the answer – ask relevant questions instead. This forces people to think through their own problems, expand their thinking skills, and get better at what they do. Once they’ve sharpened their own critical thinking, they’ll make their own decisions.
