For me, reading is a vice, not a virtue. Like, I need to not read sometimes. I’m interested in nearly everything, and the whole sum of human knowledge is in a book somewhere. And I want to find it!
When I read, I like to have sticky flags with me so I can mark parts that I thought were good.
So, here are some random quotes that I think are good ones that I hope inspire you this morning:
“BLAME NO ONE. EXPECT NOTHING. DO SOMETHING.” -Bill Parcells, football coach
“The one thing you need to know about sustained individual success: Discover what you don’t like doing and stop doing it.” -Marcus Buckingham
“A leader is a dealer in hope” – Napoleon
“A man without a smiling face must not open a shop.” -Chinese proverb
“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader.” -John Quincy Adams
“Everyone lives by selling something.” -Robert Louis Stevenson
“PhD in leadership. Short course: Make a short life of all things done to you that you abhorred. Don’t do them to others. Ever. Make another list of things done to you that you loved. Do them to others. Always”. -Dee Hock (Visa founder)
“What gets rewarded gets repeated.” -unknown
“The two most powerful things in existence: a kind word and a thoughtful gesture.” -Ken Langone, co-founder of Home Depot
“Before your can inspire with emotion, you must be swamped with it yourself. Before you can move their tears, your own must flow. To convince them, you must yourself believe.” -Winston Churchill
