I work with outstanding leaders, and here’s what they all have in common:
- Tenacity: They are unable to give up. They are still chasing the ball that no one else can see long after everyone else has gone home for dinner.
- Passion: Nothing happens without enthusiasm, and the absence of this is a sure sign that nothing is going to be achieved.
- Humility: Great leaders work for a cause that’s bigger than themselves. That’s how they are able to attract great people to the team. It’s not super motivating to work just to make someone else rich.
(Note what’s not on this list: education, experience, the right last name, money to invest, support of the business establishment).
