What Are Your Strategic Priorities and Vital Functions

This is a perfect time to think through 2 questions for the upcoming year:

1. What are your 3 strategic priorities for the next 12 months?

If you have more than 3 priorities, you don’t have any.  What do you really want to achieve in the coming year?  What is going to be different when this time comes next year?

2. What 3 vital functions do you perform best?

When you go to a heart surgeon, you’ll find that he doesn’t also remove warts and treat lumbago.  He specializes and focuses on the very few things that he is uniquely great at, and that bring him his reputation and  success  The same is true with you.  Write down your three vital functions and strategize around how to get away from the things that keep you from performing them.
