Your Attitude Is Not a Victim of Your Emotions

We’re all emotional people, and if we’re not careful, we can be ruled by our emotions.

To understand how your emotions work, picture a truck with a trailer on the back.  The truck represents your will, and the trailer represents your emotions.

Here’s the point of the picture: the trailer will go wherever the truck decides it will go!  The trailer is not in charge.

When you wake up, decide that you’re going to have a good day.  Don’t wait to let your emotions make that decision for you.  Once you’ve decided, your emotions will follow along.

“Your attitude is a servant of your will, not a victim of your emotions”
